A DC-DC converter inside bridges the two, holding the output where a fully charged 24V battery would sit. Before you buy

Use a battery of at least 3 Ah — 4 Ah or more is better. A higher-voltage tool draws harder on the battery, and a small one can sag until its own protection cuts out before it is empty.
