The converter holds it steady at the tool’s level, so the tool behaves as it would on its own battery. Built with an injection-molded ABS battery interface, a 3D-printed ABS tool socket for a close fit, and pure copper contacts. It is a cost-effective way to get more from the batteries you have, with no second charger to maintain. It also carries battery protection electronics (BMS) inside.

Important charging and safety information

This adapter is for powering cordless tools and nothing else. It cannot charge DeWalt or Kobalt batteries and must never be connected to a charger of any kind. Always take the battery out of the adapter before charging, and charge it on the original charger made for your DeWalt 20V MAX battery.

Before you buy

Use a battery of at least 3 Ah — 4 Ah or more is better. A higher-voltage tool draws harder on the battery, and a small one can sag until its own protection cuts out before it is empty.
